Ignite the FUSE for Makers
supports artisans, makers and creative entrepreneurs to refine and enhance
their business acumen. Creative makers– producing anything from jewelry, silk
screens, textiles, ceramics, graphic designs to tattoos–will participate in a
10-week program starting in March 2020.
The overall goal of the program is to help creative makers improve their
entrepreneurship acumen, specifically by providing:
- Business training, including marketing, fundraising, selling products, telling a compelling story
- Strategies for scaling operations and refining production
The 10-week program takes place on Tuesdays and includes:
- classroom lecture with real-world examples
- one-on-one business mentorship
- access to space and equipment at the FUSE Makerspace
- peer-learning from a diverse group of fellow makers
- guest speakers sharing successful business experience and expertise
- site visits
